Eurojackpot Lottery Rules

In your Eurojackpot e-ticket there two playing fields. You should choose seven numbers, 5 regular from 1 to 50 in the first field, and 2 bonus from 1 to 10 in the second one. You can fill your ticket in by yourself or use a Quick Pick option. The lucky player, who manages to predict combination 2+5, hits the jackpot. 

Date, Time and Place of the Lottery

Draws of Eurojackpot are held every week on Friday in Helsinki, Finland. The time is 21:00. Ticket sales stop 3 hours before the start of the broadcast. Tickets, purchased later are transferred to the next draw.

Requirements

The organizers of the lottery impose one basic requirement for participants of Eurojackpot: the player must be 18 years of age by the time of ticket purchase. Citizenship and physical location do not matter.

Prizes and Chances of Winning

The new European lottery Eurojackpot quickly gained love of hundreds of thousands of players due to the respectable size of the grand prize. The minimum jackpot is fixed at around €10 million, and the maximum is €90 million. In order to become the winner of the jackpot, one should correctly guess all seven numbers of the winning combination. The chances of such a coincidence are 1 in 95,344,200. For the minimum prize, it is enough to guess two main balls and one bonus ball, the probability of which is 1 in 42.

*Indicates expected amount of money. The final amount of the prize is determined by the results of drawing and depends on the number of tickets sold and won.

  • Prizes up to 5200 Euros are paid within 24 hours after results announcement.
  • Prizes more than 5200 Euros are paid during 90 days.

 

Eurojackpot prize taxes

All prizes of Italian lottery, bigger than 500 euros are the subject of taxes, which from 1st of October 2017 represent 12%. Prizes less than 500 euros are not taxable. Taxes are levied by organizers during getting the prize. All lottery prizes are transferred to the prize account excluding the tax of 12%.
